01. Il Duomo (Milan Cathedral)
The massive Cathedral of Santa Maria Nacente, nicknamed "I Duoma", is among the worlds largest (the cathedral holds up to 440,000 inhabitants) and most beautiful churches. Originally built in 1420, its exterior wasn't fully completed until the mid 1800s, under the reign of Napoleon.
The roof consists of 135 elegantly carved stones and its outer walls have 2,245 statue marbles. The dim interior, contrasted strikingly with the bright and rich interior, makes an impact with its 52 huge structures.

02. Milan Cathedral
The cathedral in Milan was dedicated in honour of Saint Mary Nacent. The roof is topped by 135 beautifully painted marble pinnacles and the interior is covered by 2,225 marble statues.
Its dim interior contrasts with the bright and beautifully decorated exterior with 52 huge pillars. The stained-glass windows inside nave are the biggest in the world and are an important landmark on Milan's waterfront location.

03. Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie
Although its exterior was not one of the best acclaimed, the interior retains an interesting charm. It is located on Corso Magenta and is located in Milan opposite the Duomo's side. Within this building stands an amazing artistic work by Leonardo di Vicini.
This painting has long been considered a masterpiece of art depicting the Last Supper according to the Scriptures. Throughout history this artwork was scrutinized for hidden meaning or contents.

04. Browse in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II: Luxury Shops and Elegant Cafés
The grand Galleria Vittorio Emanuele III was designed and built by Giuseppe Mengoni from 1865 to 1877. Originally the largest shopping arcade in the world, the dome reaches 68 metres and has an impressive mosaic floor.
The building was one step forward in the modernization and today stands for a beautiful 19th century iron and glass structure. It still remains one of the best locations to gather locals to enjoy lunch in its elegant cafes while browsing through the luxury shopping centers. In fact Milanites have so often called it the "Salon" in Milan's language.

05. Pinacoteca di Brera
The Renaissance Palace of Brora was originally founded in 1651 as Jesuit colleges and is now part of Accademia of Belle Arte (Academy of Fine Arts). The museum is also home to the Piacenza di Brera – Italy's finest art museum.
The majority of the work was collected during church shutdowns or demolition and the museum is especially heavily represented with paintings of northern Italian artists. In front of the courtyard is visible the 1809 monument of Napoleon I carved by the sculptor Canova. Amongst the paintings of the 15th-century can be seen Mantegnas paintings (Madonna in Angels Head and Lamenting).

06. Sforzesco Castle
Conceived as a fortress from the 14th century, Sforzesco Castle was one of many attractions in Milan itlay, and has become one of the most important attractions of the city. It houses today a museum of the Antica Art Gallery featuring Pietà Rondaninis final masterpiece.

07. Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper
The Gothic brick church Santa Maria de Grazie, in Corso Magenta, has been constructed around 1465. It is built on six sides and is designed by renowned Renaissance architect Bramante.
The church and adjoining church, which contains Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, have been damaged in WWII and during their repair work, old sgraffito paintings are exhibited in the dome. A few steps from the North aisle lies the baroque chapel of the Madonna della Gratta.

08. Castello Sforzesco
It was built from 1368 to 1350 by Viscontis and Sforzas, who were kings of Milan between 1247 to 1447 and 1535 respectively and rebuilt by 1450. This 70-meter Torre de Filarete was built in 1905 and reconstructed from an earlier gate-house. The Castello hosts the Musei del Castello Sforzesco, a museum series with an exhibition of sculptures.
The collection consists of a Pietà Rondanini, Michelangelos last masterpiece, which came here in 1953 from Palazzo Rondanin in Rome. Other collections are also available including decorative arts, prehistoric and Egyptian artifacts, musical histories and armories.

09. Indulge Your Inner Fashionista
Quadrilatero di Moda is Milan's high fashion shopping town where the biggest names in Italy are located and many of them have smart shops. The four major streets are Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, Via Manzoni, and Via Venezia.
They are surrounded by numerous windows that show new fashion trends. This is one of the most prominent boutique shopping streets of Europe, just like the Avenue des Champs Élyses. Remember you can not go out and shop casually in the shop without revealing any attire.

10. La Scala Opera
Few buildings on earth contain so many outstanding artists as the Scala Opera. The Opera House is situated north of the Duomo and south of Castellone Sforzesco. It is among the best in the world and is praised for its opulence and its quality.
Into the auditorium a grand and magnificent interior design for seats and the stage is magnificent with 6 seats and separate box frames stage in semicircle surrounded by red velvet drapery and gold furniture. 11. Piazza Dei Mercanti
How do we find interesting sights in Milan nightlife? Previously a city centre of administrative activity in medieval times the Piazza dei Mercanti is a key component of the sightseeing program for Milan offering a glimpse of historic life.
During its construction, the 13-century Broletto nuovo positioned in front of the piazza now forms the northeast boundary of the square. The southwestern side contains the Loggia degli Osii where city officials addressed the citizens from the balcony. The square has now become a popular Christmas market during the Christmas period.

12. Santa Maria Presso San Satiro
This church in one of the shops nearby from Piazzo Duomo appears relatively small and unimpressive. Step inside and see its magnificent and deep, vaulted sanctuary that extends over the entire apse. Maybe?
Keep eyes open when walking back to see the wall melt down. It is purely an optical illusion played by the architect Bramante in order to bring grand to churches of limited spaces. Address. Torno 9, Milano.

13. San Maurizio and the Archaeology Museum
To most the interiors of the SanMaurizio Cathedral are the most beautiful in Milan. The entire interior has been adorned in frescos depicting Biblical scenes.
This collection is largely created and painted by some great Lombard artists of the 15th century. The long nave has two sections, the rear reserved for Nun choirs.

14. Piazza del Duomo
As Milan's center Piazza, the Piazza dell'Ordo is a vast open public place featuring impressive architecture and sculptures. When you visit Milan, this is your starting point. In the centre of the square sits an exquisite statue of Vittoria Emmanuel.

15. Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology
This museum houses historical facts from an olivetan monastery dating back to centuries ago to modern times. The Leonardo da Vinci Gallery contains working models for many inventions and equipment made of drawings by da Vinci.

16. Poldi-Pezzoli Museum
An elegant old patrician house provides the backdrop to this art gallery that was established in the 18th century as the private collection of Giacomo Poldi-Pezzoli and Rosa Trivulzi.
Highlighted paintings include paintings by Botticelli Mantegna Piero della Francesco, Guardia and others artists and jewellery. Textiles on show include Flemish and Persian rugs, tapestries and many pieces of handwoven textiles.

17. Spend an Evening in Naviglio
The young people who frequent canalside coffee shops and musical bars in Naviglio are an excellent place to visit in Milan during the night. Although it remains the best in the evening visit during the day shops and artist workshops, restaurants and festivals that take place in it.
During the month of April, the neighbourhood near the Canal fills with flowers during the Fest of Fiori and Festa del Naviglio, which offers concerts, processions, craft and antique markets.

18. Brera district
The charming district lies north of Duomo between Borgonovo and Broletto. The district boasts a distinctive bohemian atmosphere and is surrounded by art schools, galleries, and good-to-do restaurants.

19. Parco Sempione
Parco sempione is the ideal setting for a relaxed, leisurely walk in an English-style setting for relaxing after consuming stone or architecture. It is an ideal spot to walk along curving path paths which will take you around the park. Walker - jogger / office worker, lunch or Scout parent. The venue hosts summer performances.

20. Triennale di Milano (Palazzo dell'Arte)
The building adjacent to Parco Seppione, built in 1933 as the main house of the premier Italy Design Show, is an excellent example of Fascist-style architectural style. But the venue also acts as an artistic and design showcase, bringing in high-quality exhibitions often of international importance.
The series may include retrospective works of iconic modernists such as Andy Warhol or Gio Ponte or examinations of the roots of tribal art or food design.

21. Museo Del Novecento
The museum of Novécento is an incredible museum of modern-style Italian artwork containing a unique collection of art and culture. It contains more than 400 paintings chronologically displaying the progress in Italian cultural society with time.

22. Civica Galleria d'Arte Moderna (Modern Art Gallery)
This palace facing the Giardini Pubbliciu was new in the days of the Napoleonic invasion of Milan. The building still retains its original stucco design and decorative details in its interior, adding to its appeal as showcase for Milan's large contemporary art collections.
The focus is Italian art from Romantic to post-impressionist from the 19th-century but the collection consists more broadly of paintings from Renoir to Picasso, Matisse Rouault Modigliani Dufy and Vuillard. The Canova and contemporaries have produced a huge number Neoclassical sculpture pieces.
