01. Swim at One of the Golden Beaches
Queensland boasts an incredible coastline. During the summer, the beaches are always warm. Even chilly winters can bring many visitors. On Gold Coast South of Sydney 17 beaches have been selected.

02. Dive or Snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef
This world-famous natural wonder is hardly underestimated in the best way possible. Essentially it is Earths largest building structure. Most of the reefs are located inside the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, which spans from Mackay towards the northeast coast of Australia off the North Coast of Queensland.
It covers nearly half of Texas and includes more than 3000 coral reef islands, 600 continental islands, 200 coral cays and dozens of mangrove islands. Diving or snorkelling the reefs can be an exciting outdoor adventure in Australia. The incredible marine biodiversity attracted tourists from all over the globe. Great Barrier Reef, you'll find UNESCO World Heritage sites begging to be explored.

03. Relax at Airlie Beach
Airlie Beach is a lovely village. The week spent there was an entrance to Whitsunday Island – think whitehaven beach – however it was surrounded by activities that make it a very enjoyable and memorable holiday spot. The adult crowds enjoyed the endless bars and cafés and my kids loved the manmade lagoon!!

04. Explore Noosa National Park
The National Park keeps us from Noosa. We have yet to explore the complete park yet, and there are still koalas in the park that call it home, but we're hiking the coastal track from the surf club to tea tree bay. This national park is arguably one of the best in Queensland.
05. Discover the Undara Lava Tubes, Savannah Way
One of our most exciting experiences at Outback Queensland has been Undara where there is 164 volcanic ash, cones and vents. What's your opinion on Australian volcanics? This is fascinating and enjoyable for the children! Sleep in a train car and have breakfast in the bush.

06. Ride the Skyrail Rainforest to Kuranda
Kuranda Town is an attractive location close to Cairns and you can get there easily by using Sky Rail's Rainforest Cablewalk. Glide on for 7km through beautiful forests with spectacular ocean views. Take an open-air canopie floater - supported and experienced - and you will enjoy dazzling views.
07. Meet the Characters at Movieworld, Gold Coast
Kaleyra says the best. DAYS. EVER...Bug Bunny and the gang popped up on the main Street and Kalyra danced Gangnam style with Sylvesters. Movie world at the Gold Coast is geared toward the movie lovers in the house but there are many exciting rides aimed towards older children and adults who have no interest in meeting the characters.

08. Tour Townsville and Magnetic Island
Townsville is Australia's largest tropic town. It's a great base for excursions primarily to Magnetic Island and the Great Barrier Reef but has many other attractions. The city stands at the base of Castle Hill, a granite rock that reaches a height of 300 m.
The walk track leads up to its peak with a panoramic view of the town. The most beautiful place to explore is on the beach. If you wander around a beautiful waterfront promenade, you can take a swim in the pool area.

09. Bask on the Beaches of Noosa Heads and the Sunshine Coast
The Sunshine Coast is a popular destination in South East Queensland. Famous for its beautiful beaches, it is also an attractive holiday destination for Aussies, a two-hour drive north of Gold Coast's high-rise buildings but seemingly worlds away.
Beaches can be a major attraction on Sunshine Coast. Noosa Heads are a popular tourist destination area. Main Beach is Noosa's main attraction, and is surrounded by an idyllic beachfront. The place has also been named the best surf break.

10. Get a Culture Fix in Brisbane
Brisbane Queensland's second largest city has a relaxed pace compared to its neighbouring capital Brisbane. The hotel is the perfect place to explore Queensland. The city lies along the Brisbane River with an east-west boundary between the ocean and the Great Dividing Ranges.
Visitors love the sunshine of the city and the luxuriant parks and landscape. Some of the best activities for visitors to Brisbane include strolling around Brisbane Botanical Gardens Mt Coot-tha, with more than 2,000 species of plants.

11. Wallaman Falls
Wallaman Falls is the biggest single-fall waterfall in Australian history. The viewpoint and trail leads down to the Falls. A steep hike of 30-40 minutes is required. There are sections of huge sandstones that you must navigate to reach them. It is worth the effort because the views are unsurpassed.
12. Island Hop at the Whitsundays
Located in central Queensland, the Whitsunday group includes 74 stunning islands strung across the Great Wall Reef. Whitsunday is the largest continental island in the world and is situated on a peninsula which emerged out of the ocean.
The rest are designated national parks and eight contain well-known resorts. Popular things to do during Whitsunday are diving and snorkeling tours.

13. Go Horse Riding on Rainbow Beach
Rainbow Beach was featured in the front pages of the publication "101 Best Beaches in Australia". Rainbow is unique in a variety of ways because it is the only place in the US to have an opportunity to ride horses on a beach.
14. Visit the Qantas Museum, Longreach
Longreach is currently suffering a three-year drought and Longreaching will be open to the public! And Longreach is where Qantas began in 1920. I'm an avid frequent flyer with Qanta's and it'll be interesting learning more about how that great Australian company started in our Outback home.

15. Get to Know Townsville
We were surprised by how much we liked the town. Explore the Strand, a 3-kilometer long beach playground, discover the top Aquariums Australia and enjoy a Military tour.
16. Watch a Croc Show at Australia Zoo, Sunshine Coast
The Australia Zoo is the final wildlife attraction. Built around the live Croco Show at the Crocoseum the visitor will get the opportunity to see and learn about Australian and African wildlife. A trip to Koala Hospital is another thing that is worth recommending.

17. Hop aboard a Whale Watching Cruise in Hervey Bay
How did you encounter whales when you were in the water? This bucket-list adventure can easily be done in Hervey Bay, Australia's whalewatching capital. Herving Bay is the first site in the world which has been recognized for its whales and the world's first World Cetacean Association status in 2019.
How does that work? K'gari (Fraser Island) protects shallow waters in Hervey Bay, a sanctuary for these magnificent sea mammal. There are plenty of breaks during the long migrations for the calves to rest, meet friends and learn. Lucky visitors will enjoy their intimate, exhilarating encounters.

18. Drive 75 Mile Beach in a 4×4, Fraser Island
Fraser Island is 124km long and 23km wide and is an excellent destination in Queensland. It is the largest beach island on the planet with four-wheel drive. In addition you may encounter wild dingo, the local population, ship wrecks, and many more things to visit.
76 Mile beaches are located east of Frasers National Highway and it is here you can see the marine life that thrives on the waters such as the dolphins and migration whales.

19. Go Kayaking in the Town of 1770
1770 Liquid Adventures belongs to a couple with a great understanding of what the tourist needs. We took a family kayak tour up the stream to Butterfly Beach, where we had lunch at the beach and enjoyed playing the butterflies and of course some old-fashioned bubbles. Have a beautiful sunset trip there!
20. Visit Burleigh Heads National Park, Gold Coast
Burleigh Head is the Gold Coast's favourite spot and we're lucky we call it home. This area offers some of the best small coastal walks on earth which are within the Burleigh Heads National Park.
Start early to watch sunrise while you watch surfers from the point. Continue around the coast to find another Gold Coast favourite, Tallebudgera Creek.

21. Be Stunned By Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Islands
Whitehaven Beach is the most spectacular place we have visited on the entire Australian continent. In fact, it is probably the best-known beach on the island. The white silica sands, the turquoise sands of the National Parks, and the swirling colors that are visible at Hill Inlet lookout are also isolated. You have to get out!
22. Drive the Great Beach Drive, Noosa North Shore
It has been confirmed there's only one way to take a lap through Australia: with a 4x4. I've called it Australia's most efficient route, because instead of transferring to Sunshine Coast via Gympie on the M1 you take the nicer, slower beach road.

23. Explore Winton, Outback Queensland
It is a small town on a single avenue and Winton was the countryside town we had searched to find. The historical story of Banjo Patterson and the dinosaurs and old-world charm were all part of this place. Winton has always been an important tourist attraction in QLD.
24. Climb the Story Bridge
Above the Brisbane River is the Storybridge, connecting the city centre with Kangaroo Point. The Sydney Harbour Bridge climb is well known. On top, there are views of Glasshouse Mountains from the north to Moreton Bay or toward Scenic Rim mountains in the south. You can also tap into your inner adrenaline spout. There are only three bridges climbing in the world!

25. Hike in Carnarvon Gorge National Park
The reader suggested visiting the Carnarvon Gorge National Park. Now that we are here it is clear that tropical gardens are a possibility. This Nationalpark has beautiful hiking trails, camping spots, nightly stargazing and a great place to visit wild kangaroos!
26. Kayak the Noosa Everglades
The Noosa Everglades consist of numerous canals, tropical wetland and swampy areas which connect Northern Noosa to the water near the Sunshine Coast. The Everglades lie in the Great Sandy National Forest, near the Great Sandy.
The kayak trip was 16 km long at Lake Cootharaba. It pushed us into the middle of nowhere in pristine natural conditions where birds flying accompanied by waves swept across our boats and our lily pads. Alternatively a short trip to the ocean can be combined with a boat trip to make the experience more enjoyable for a couple of days.

27. Daintree National Park
The Daintree National Park area covers the Mossman Gorge at the southern point, the Daintree River at its centre and then all the way up to the dense rainforests of Cape Tribulation.
The lush Daintree National Park and the Noosa National Park will let you get an insight of the rich biodiversity of the state, while the picturesque Whitsunday Islands and the Fraser Island will offer you laid-back vibes and soft sand beaches to relax and rejuvenate with your loved ones.

28. Lamington National Park
Lamington National Park has over 160 kilometres of walking trails scattered with waterfalls, ancient fauna and flora throughout. In far north Queensland you will find the World Heritage-Listed Daintree National Park.
